Mothers Who Know

"Mothers who know" do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world’s goods in order to spend more time with their children—more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose carefully and do not try to choose it all. Their goal is to prepare a rising generation of children who will take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the entire world. Their goal is to prepare future fathers and mothers who will be builders of the Lord’s kingdom for the next 50 years. That is influence; that is power." ~Julie Beck

BEDTIME STORIES

We took the girls to see Bedtime Stories yesterday and it was very cute. We all enjoyed it. It wasn't naughty at all. Rebecca said this "there was not swearing, but the daughter was dressed immodestly." Do you think we talk about this too much since my 8 year old walks away from movies with that in mind??

I loved that movie.... No I don't. In today's society, you can not teach your children enough. Godd for her to notice:) We saw it the day after Christmas and loved it too! By the way, we saw Benjamin Buttons.... it was FULL of immorality!! I really wanted that one to be good too. I was very disappointed.

Hey Kerri, guess what we had for dinner tonight?? Terriaki chicken & veggies, it was SO GOOD!!! My husband said it was better than any restaraunt. Thanks for dinner tonight!

P.S. Haven't seen "Bedtime Stories" yet, thanks for the recommendation. My husband and I saw "Seven Pounds" during the Christmas break, it was the most intense, thought-provoking movie I've seen in awhile.
