Mothers Who Know

"Mothers who know" do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world’s goods in order to spend more time with their children—more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose carefully and do not try to choose it all. Their goal is to prepare a rising generation of children who will take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the entire world. Their goal is to prepare future fathers and mothers who will be builders of the Lord’s kingdom for the next 50 years. That is influence; that is power." ~Julie Beck

BUSY BUSY BUSY...

This week has been a little crazy around here. Last night Jessica and Stephanie had a drama club "Readers Theatre" performance. Jessica was the monster's eyeballs and Stephanie was the nose. It was funny and Steph was funny because a "Muscrat" had to come down her nostril. She was so funny. She did a little "dance" after the girl came over her shoulders. Another time Steph had to "sneeze" and shake the whole face. It was cute.

Then tonight Jessica had a choir concert. She did a great job singing and performing. I can't imagine why. (it may come naturally, or may have something to do with genes?)

Tomorrow I have a sub half day because Rebecca has her 1st grade program. I am excited to see her do her parts. She had me put curlers in her hair so that she would have curls. She asked her teacher if she could change the program to Thursday because that is when her dad has off. Like her school doesn't have a ton of first grade classes that have to coordinate schedules.. I'm sure they would be willing to just change it for Beck's dad. Hee Hee. Then she was calling Kristin and Deena and trying to get other people to come and see her also but they can't so I will just go by myself. Oh well, after I had gotten a half sub then Ryan gave me permission to take a full day. Oh well.

Kathryn is babysitting tomorrow for our neighbor who is marketing "Twilight" shirts. She is going to meet Stephenie Meyer, so she is going to take Kathryn's books to have them signed also.

Busy should definitely be the theme for the month of May, but have to fear, June will be here in no time! Hope you had fun at the program yesterday.
